The TTIV Poetry Throwdown

Marsh, TTIV's Eastern Pennsylvania Bus Bureau Correspondent, rearranges song lyrics like a wizard. For as long as I've known him, he's thrown them down like Eminem at a rap battle.

The bus commute has been tough lately. During a recent Lincoln Tunnel delay, he came up with the following. Weird Al Yankovic has nothing on Marsh.

Sing to "Life in the Fast Lane," with apologies to Don Henley and Glenn Frey.

He was a bald headed man
Not particularly handsome
she was fat and not so pretty
Sat next to him and the one thing he knew
it was a long ride
from Jersey to the city

He had a nasty reputation as a guy who snores
They said he was loud, they said he was coarse
They had one thing in common
they were late for work
She’d say, “faster, faster."
"Gotta get away from these jerks.”

Life in the bus lane
Surely make you lose your mind
Life in the bus lane
Every day not on time

Thanks Marsh for adding a little culture and imagined multimedia to TTIV.
